Connect Stripe for payouts

Setting up payouts so you can be paid for your sales.

For practitioners

To be paid for your sales, you connect your bank through Stripe. Maram uses Stripe Connect, which handles identity and bank details securely and in line with the rules of your own country.

Connecting

  1. In your practitioner area, open Payouts or the payment setup in Settings.
  2. Select connect and complete Stripe's onboarding: your country, your identity, and your bank account.
  3. Stripe verifies your details. Once complete, your account is ready to receive money.

You only do this once. Stripe collects what it needs based on where you are.

You are the seller

On Maram you are the merchant of record for your own sales. That means the sale is legally yours, and you are responsible for your own tax in your own country. Maram takes its platform fee and is responsible only for tax on that fee. See How you get paid.

Card payments

Your connected account is set up to accept card payments, which is what lets learners buy from you. If Stripe still needs details from you, finish its onboarding, because an incomplete account cannot take payments.

Manual payouts, on purpose

Your account is set to manual payouts. This is deliberate: your earnings build up in your balance as you sell, and Maram releases them to your bank only after your session is delivered and the short payout hold clears. This is what lets Maram promise learners that their payment is protected until they are taught.

Where to see it

Your Payouts page shows your connection status and your earnings. To change your bank details, open your Stripe dashboard from there.

Requirement to publish

A completed payout connection is required before you can publish a paid product.
