Learners buy live sessions on the promise that they will happen. Reliability is part of teaching on Maram, and the terms are set out clearly so there are no surprises.
If you cancel a session
If you cancel a workshop or sprint, buyers are refunded 100 percent automatically, and Maram keeps its 10 percent fee as the cancellation penalty. You never refund manually; the platform handles it. The card fee stays on your side.
For a cohort, a single cancelled session is normally rescheduled rather than refunding the whole program.
Rescheduling
You can reschedule a session, once, for free. A buyer who cannot make the new date is refunded, with Maram keeping its 10 percent.
No-shows
If nobody from your side starts the session, a workshop or sprint auto-cancels and refunds after a short grace period. For a cohort session, it prompts a reschedule and records a strike, with any pro-rata handled only if the session is never made up.
Repeated cancellations
Reliability is tracked over a rolling six months. Repeated cancellations lead to tiered enforcement: a penalty first, then a written warning, then a review of your products and standing. Consistent reliability keeps this from ever being an issue.
Buyer no-shows on a booked 1:1
If a buyer books a one-to-one and does not attend, the default is that the session counts as delivered and can be rescheduled once. The exact terms are in the Practitioner Agreement and the Refund Policy.
