Refund Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026 (in-person delivery amendment)
This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds are issued on the Maram Live platform at maram.live, operated by Maram Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. This policy forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. How Sales Work on Maram Live
Maram Live operates on Stripe Connect Direct Charges. When you purchase a workshop, program, or other product, the AI Practitioner is the seller and the merchant of record. For in-person products, the AI Practitioner is also the organiser and host of the in-person session. Maram acts as the platform that facilitates the sale and takes a 10% platform fee on each transaction. Refunds for specific purchases follow the AI Practitioner alongside this platform Refund Policy and your statutory rights.
2. Your 14 Day Cancellation Right
If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, you generally have the right to cancel a contract bought at a distance within 14 days, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (or equivalent EEA law). This 14 day period is subject to important exceptions that often apply to what we sell:
- Live events on a set date. A contract for a live workshop or live cohort session scheduled for a specific date or period is treated as the supply of a leisure or event service for a specific date and is exempt from the 14 day cancellation right, in the same way as a dated event ticket.
- Services you ask us to start within the 14 days. If you ask for, and agree to, a service beginning during the cancellation period, you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed, and you may owe a proportionate amount for any part already delivered.
- Digital content and recordings supplied immediately. Where a recording or other digital content is made available to you straight away, you agree to that immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the 14 day cancellation right for that content once supply has begun.
Where none of these exceptions applies, you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund by contacting support@maram.solutions. We will process the refund within 14 days of being told you wish to cancel, using your original payment method.
3. When We Always Refund
Refunds are issued in the following circumstances, regardless of the cancellation right above:
- Session or program cancelled by Maram or the AI Practitioner. If a confirmed session or program is cancelled, all affected attendees are refunded in full to their original payment method, normally within 5 to 10 business days. A single-item purchase is refunded automatically. Where the cancelled item was bought as part of a bundle, your other bundle items stay active at their normal standalone prices and we automatically refund the difference between what you paid for the bundle and the value of the items you keep; other multi-item orders are reviewed by our team so the correct amount is applied. You will be notified by email as soon as a cancellation is confirmed.
- Service not carried out with reasonable care and skill, or not as described. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill and match how they were described. If a session or program falls materially short, you may be entitled to a repeat performance or a price reduction, which can include a partial or full refund. Contact support@maram.solutions within a reasonable time, with your order details and a description of the issue.
- Defective or inaccessible recordings. If a recording is included in your purchase and is faulty or inaccessible due to a problem on our side that we cannot fix within a reasonable period, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
- In-person session not delivered as described. If an in-person session does not take place at the stated venue and time, or the AI Practitioner materially changes the venue in a way that prevents you from attending, we review the issue under the same buyer-protection standards as any other non-delivery or material mismatch.
- Any other refund right granted by applicable law.
4. What Is Not Normally Refundable
Outside the rights described above, the following are not normally eligible for a refund:
- Change of mind after a live event has taken place or after the cancellation right has been lost
- Inability to attend due to scheduling conflicts
- Technical issues on your own device, internet connection, or browser
- Travel, accommodation, visa, transport, parking, childcare, lost time, or other third-party costs connected with attending an in-person session, unless applicable law requires otherwise
- Non attendance without prior cancellation by Maram or the AI Practitioner
- Partial attendance (joining late or leaving early)
- Dissatisfaction with session content where the session was delivered with reasonable care and skill and substantially as described
Nothing in this section overrides any statutory right you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or any other consumer protection law that applies to you.
5. Recordings
Where a recording is included in your purchase, it is accessible through your Maram Live account for the recording window stated for that product in your purchase flow, account, or purchase record. Different products may have different recording windows, and some live-only products may not include a recording. Subject to your statutory rights and Section 3, no refund is issued simply because you did not access an included recording within its stated window.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
All refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout. We do not issue refunds by any other method, such as bank transfer, store credit, or an alternative payment method. Once we approve a refund, the time it takes to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer and is typically 5 to 10 business days.
7. How to Request a Refund or Cancel
To request a refund or to exercise a cancellation right, contact support@maram.solutions with your order ID, the workshop or program name, and a description of the issue. We will respond with a decision as quickly as we can, and within any timeframe required by law.
8. If You Disagree With Our Decision
If you disagree with our decision on a refund or cancellation, you may:
- Reply to our response with additional information for a further review.
- Use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme where one is available to you.
- Contact your card issuer or bank if you believe a transaction was unauthorised or incorrectly handled.
- Bring a claim in the courts. In England and Wales, lower value consumer claims can be made through the Small Claims Track, including online at the Money Claim Online service.
Nothing in this section limits any other right you have under applicable law.
9. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rights of your country of residence.
