How payments work

Currency, the practitioner as seller, and how your money is handled.

Payments on Maram are secure, straightforward, and designed so both learners and practitioners are treated fairly. Here is the whole picture.

Card payments through Stripe

All payments are processed by Stripe, a leading global payments company. Maram does not see or store your full card details. Checkout is a normal secure card payment.

Currency

Prices are shown and charged in US dollars everywhere in the world. Your bank converts to your local currency at their rate, so what you pay locally depends on the exchange rate at the time.

The practitioner is the seller

Each practitioner is the seller of their own products. When you buy, the payment is made to the practitioner's connected account, and Maram takes a 10 percent platform fee. This keeps tax and compliance with each practitioner in their own country, rather than routed through Maram.

Your money is held until delivery

The practitioner's earnings are not released to them the moment you pay. Maram holds the money until your session has been delivered. If it is cancelled or does not happen, you are refunded automatically. This is the heart of The Maram Guarantee.

Receipts

After every purchase you get an order confirmation email with your receipt and enrolment details. You can also see your purchases in your account.

For practitioners

If you sell on Maram, you keep 90 percent and are the merchant of record for your own tax. The full detail is in How you get paid.

Questions about a charge
